Trick or Treat & Fall Feed

5-8 p.m. Friday; Atwood Center at APU, 4455 University Drive

This outdoor event includes trick-or-treating and other Halloween activities hosted by the APU Elite Team and Olympians.

Tunnel of Terror

7-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; Tommy’s Express, 1850 Abbott Road

This haunted car wash will not only provide some thrills, but also keep your vehicle from getting truly scary. Cost is $35.

Frightening 4K

11 a.m. Saturday; Hotel Captain Cook, 941 W. Fourth Ave.

Treats, fun and even a costume contest. More information about the event, including registration fees, is available at the Skinny Raven website.

Halloween at the House of Harley

Noon-4 p.m. Saturday; House of Harley-Davidson, 4334 Spenard Road

Stop in to trick-or-treat, grab a hot beverage at the spooky cocoa station or enter the kids or adult costume contest.

HallowQueer Carnival

Noon-11 p.m. Saturday; The Nave, 3502 Spenard Road

This third annual event features arts and crafts, trick or treating, a youth dance (ages 13+) and a costume contest.

Trick or Treat Street

Noon-4 p.m. Saturday; West Fourth Avenue

This free, family-friendly event in downtown Anchorage includes a FlowZone dance performance, a haunted trolley and vintage car trunk-or-treating.

‘Beetlejuice’

1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Bear Tooth Theatrepub, 1230 W. 27th Ave.

Catch this spirited 1988 classic with Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. Tickets are $7 for individual seats.

Trunk or Treat

4-5 p.m. Saturday; ChangePoint Alaska, 6689 Changepoint Drive

Come in costume to fill your candy bag. A suggested donation of canned goods for New Hope Food Pantry will be collected at the entrance.

Trunk or Treat

5-7 p.m. Saturday; First Baptist Anchorage, 1100 W. 10th Ave.

Candy, face painting and games at the church, right off the Delaney Park Strip.

Zoo Boo

10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday; Alaska Zoo, 4731 O’Malley Road

One of Anchorage’s longest-running costume events is at the zoo. There are specific time frames for visitors, so be sure to check for your chosen block. Tickets are $15 for zoo members and $20 for nonmembers.

For adults:

Haunted Luau with H3

7 p.m. Friday; Williwaw Social, 609 F St.

H3 brings the island vibes to the spooky Haunted Luau celebration. There will be theme drinks and pineapple smash burgers while supplies last. Tickets are $10.

Official Anchorage Bar Crawl

4 p.m. Saturday; Avenue Bar, 338 W. Fourth Ave.

The seventh annual crawl includes a complimentary snack, covers at all the bars and a $1,000 costume contest plus professional photographers documenting the night. Tickets are $25 and $30 day of the event.

Dub of the Dead

9 p.m. Saturday; Koot’s, 2435 Spenard Road

The spookiest EDM event of the year is at Koot’s featuring FYSHBONEZ, Saxafras, DJ AP and Dystraxion. Tickets range from $15-25.

Hell’s Belles

10 p.m. Saturday; The Sitzmark Bar & Grill, 100 Olympic Mountain Loop in Girdwood

This famed all-female AC/DC tribute band should have the crowd shaking all night long. Costumes are encouraged and doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $35.

Dead Writers

6 p.m. Thursday; The Writer’s Block Bookstore, 3956 Spenard Road

This event celebrates deceased literary heroes and antiheroes. It’s part open mic performance, part costume competition: Choose your favorite dead writer, dress up, and perform something that they wrote or conceivably could have written. Tickets range from $15-$25 and registration is required.
